Your risk

Most women in the UK are at or near ‘population risk’. If you are told you are at or near population risk, this means your risk is not significantly increased compared with the average woman in the UK.

Your risk of developing breast cancer at some point in your life will be about 12.5%, and will not be more than 17%.

Population risk
